Open Cosmos has been awarded a €35 million contract by ESA to build three satellites for the NanoMagSat mission, aimed at monitoring Earth’s magnetic field. These satellites will include advanced magnetometers, GNSS receivers, and a Langmuir probe for precise space weather and magnetic measurements. Scheduled for launch starting in 2027, NanoMagSat is part of ESA’s Scout framework under the Earth Observation FutureEO program.
