NASA and the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) have partnered to build a new antenna facility at Matjiesfontein, South Africa. This ground station will support NASA’s Artemis lunar missions and future Mars exploration. The site is expected to be operational by 2026, enhancing spacecraft tracking and communications from the Southern Hemisphere.
